It’s been a beautiful seeing, what a seeing, great seeing, it’s great seeing man. I observed Jupiter, as usual, and the atmosphere had some very good moments. ASI 224MC, TSO ADC, N250/1200, HEQ5. Home observatory, mount pushing soapbox, life is short.

With the usual setup, from the usual location: Jupiter, the boring side. ASI 224MC, TSO ADC, N250/1200, HEQ5 guided by the soapbox project from the balcony observatory. Bad observing conditions: low transparency, bad seeing and passing clouds.

There’s been some nasty nebulosity these days, either thin clouds or outright fog, impossible to tell from within the city. Though the seeing had its good moments, transparency was awful. I’ve been wondering these days about not owning a TV. Well, the transit of Io observed here sure lacks the action of a spacefight but sure has something kubricky about it.
