I have stacked all the data I have of the Veil Nebula at 200 mm. The first set of images come from 2015, when the camera was still unmodified, the mount was a somewhat problematic EQ3, not guided, and no filters. The 2018 set is with the same camera and lens, but the camera is modded, it also had an IDAS LPS D2 filter inserted and the mount is a HEQ5, guided. Both sets of images have been stacked and curves have been applied to them, before molding them together. Unfortunately the chromatic aberration, although elsewhere, is still present in the lens, regardless of my efforts to manually tune the lens. It is still not OK for astrophotography. Back in 2015 I was nowhere near a starheal and star reducing program — now I have my own.
