This page lists observations perhaps worthy of further attention.

The cube

The files packaged together as an Ersatz-Obsi cube have the following conventions and naming standards.

– the „average” file shows the curvature of the spectral line,
– „line zero”, marked with lime color. This line is the darkest spectral line in the recording, and is used as a guide line
– from this line of reference, pixel shifts are taken
– shorter wavelengths are towards the top, negative pixel shifts from „line zero”
– negative pixel shifts in the filename are marked with M(inus)
– longer wavelength are towards the bottom, positive pixel shifts from „line zero”
– positive pixel shifts in the filename are marked with (P)lus
– a counter (C)ounter makes the order of the files unambiguous

Example: 20250830_rot_rawLum_img_C007_M158.fits
datetime, rotated equatorially, raw (some calibration, like banding reduction, no stretching), files counter 7, -158px offset from „line zero”

Campaign „4376”

In this campaign, „line zero” is Fe I 4383.55Å, named with P000, thus the line of interest, 4375.9Å is at around M121. All cubes were recorded with the same refractor, 43/400 (stepped down from 62/400) and stock Sol’Ex, for the blue wavelengths, a blue bandpass filter was used as a full aperture energy rejection filter.

An X flare in Hydrogen Beta

From 2025-11-14-0723 till 2025-11-14-0902, there is 500GiB of recordings of the X4 flare, in H beta. Some of the data is here.

G-band flare-prom

2025-10-09-1046 UT, five frames from a single scan (well under one second of scanning time) added together, and at the proms, an eventless region got subtracted to better show the signal

2025-10-09-1046 UT, five frames from a single scan (well under one second of scanning time) added together, and at the proms, an eventless region got subtracted to better show the signal

Flaring(?) bright prom, observed in G-band on 2025-10-09, at 10:46 UT for example.

Cube and time series of  processing, something along the function of log(„line zero”) – log(„continuum”) included.

Focus on O I 7772 (and the triplet), there was a strong flare showing a strong darkening and strong doppler shift in the oxygen triplet.

Some clouds crossed the disk from time to time. The data cube(s) is/are here.

~0828UT, big, X-flare on the western limb. Foreign data, processed into a „standard cube”. 2026-04-24

2026-06-02

Observations in oxygen, O I 7772 with two dark features that could be smudges, but are not the best examples, considering last months’ data.

2026-06-03

Observations in oxygen, O I 7772 with high M and X0 flares at ~UT 07:00, coobserved, and at ~11:28.

No smudge observed during this day.

Jól kalibrált monitoron mindegyik számnál elkülönülő árnyalat látszik. Ha mégsem látszanak, akkor a megjelenített képek színhiányosan rajzolódnak ki. A monitort valószínűleg kalibrálni kell.

You should see distinct shades for each number. If those shades are not clearly visible, the displayed pictures will lack accuracy. Your display most likely needs to be calibrated (brightness, gamma, contrast etc.).
